The Mathematics Education Study Program is offered as a full-time undergraduate program with a standard study duration of 4 years (8 semesters), leading to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree. Throughout these eight semesters, students complete a structured sequence of mathematics content courses (such as calculus, algebra, statistics, geometry, and numerical methods), together with pedagogy, classroom teaching practice, school-based practicum or internships, and an undergraduate thesis, with all academic requirements designed to be completed within the four-year period.

Program Advantages
The Mathematics Education Study Program at IPI Garut offers a range of strengths that support the achievement of its vision and mission. With a vision to become a high‑quality, competitive mathematics education provider in Southeast Asia by 2042, the program focuses on developing concrete learning media and ICT‑based research through a constructivist approach. Graduates are equipped with competencies as mathematics educators who effectively integrate instructional technology, as well as edu‑preneurs who are skilled in mathematical analysis and working with numerical data. In addition, the program emphasizes the development of the university’s Tri Dharma (teaching, research, and community service) integrated with technology, increases student participation in the Ministry of Education’s MBKM programs, and maintains academic quality with a minimum graduate GPA target of 3.25. Other strengths include the enhancement of ICT‑based scientific publications and active involvement in community service through useful products and services. With a strong commitment to career development and preparation for further study at the master’s level, the Mathematics Education Study Program at IPI Garut is dedicated to producing competent, innovative graduates who make a positive impact on education and society.
