Student Research

Students, as an integral part of IPI Garut's academic community, are a primary focus of the institution in providing them with opportunities to gain research experience. Several policies and programs have been established to support student involvement in research activities, including: Mandatory Faculty Involvement Policy: Faculty members are required to involve students in their research projects. Curriculum Design: The curriculum includes opportunities for students to undertake research internships or practical work in various private or public institutions. Training for Research Grants: Training programs are provided to help students participate in the Student Creativity Program (PKM) grants, which can be converted into academic credits for course achievements. These initiatives ensure that students develop essential research skills and gain valuable experience, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to academic and professional fields. 

The Student Creativity Program (PKM) is a grant program organized by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Kemristekdikti) of the Republic of Indonesia, aimed at enabling students to realize their creativity. The PKM is divided into several categories, including: Research (PKM-P) Entrepreneurship (PKM-K) Community Service (PKM-M) Technology Application (PKM-T) Creation (PKM-KC) Written Ideas (PKM-GT) Scientific Articles (PKM-AI) Futuristic and Constructive Ideas (PKM-GFK) This program provides a platform for students to develop their skills and innovate in various fields. In addition, to support the development of student creativity, IPI Garut provides internal funding for students to pursue their creative projects in accordance with established platforms. Beyond funding, students are also guided by faculty members appointed as mentors for their activities.
