Overview of Biology Education Study Program (Bachelor Program)

Program Advantages

The Biology Education Study Program at FITS IPI Garut offers a wide range of strengths across teaching, research, community service, publication, and institutional development. In the area of education, the program regularly invites visiting scholars from leading universities, such as Prof. Dr. Riandi, M.Si., and Prof. Dr. Phill Ari Widodo, M.Ed., and supports students in participating in international student exchange programs in Thailand as well as various initiatives under the Ministry of Education’s MBKM scheme. In research, lecturers in the program have secured 19 external research grants from DRTPM Kemdikbudristek over the past three years, along with internal funding that has resulted in publications in national and international journals. In terms of community service, regular activities are funded by both internal and external sources, including grants from Bank BNI’s CSR program and IPG KIK grants, producing products and services that benefit local communities. In the field of publication, lecturers actively publish in reputable international journals such as the International Journal of Science Education and Science & Education, as well as journals indexed by Scopus, Sinta, Google Scholar, and Publons. Regarding institutional development, FITS IPI Garut as a whole has received accreditation recognition from BAN-PT and LAMDIK, including “Excellent,” “Very Good,” “B,” and “Good” ratings for several study programs. With these various strengths, the Biology Education Study Program remains firmly committed to supporting sustainable advancement in academic development, research, and community engagement. Dalam pengembangan kelembagaan, FITS IPI Garut secara keseluruhan telah mendapatkan pengakuan akreditasi dari BAN-PT dan LAMDIK, termasuk akreditasi “Unggul,” “Baik Sekali,” “B,” dan “Baik” pada beberapa program studi. Dengan berbagai keunggulan ini, Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi terus berkomitmen untuk mendukung perkembangan akademik, riset, dan kontribusi masyarakat secara berkelanjutan.
